The AK-FK uses the very low global-warming-potential agent FK-5-1-12. It is preferred in data centres, museums and cultural heritage stores.
Why FK?
Because it is stored as a liquid at room temperature, it needs fewer cylinders and agent records are easy to maintain. It is short-lived in the atmosphere and carries lower environmental obligations.
The design concentration is about 4.5-6 percent, giving a wide safety margin in occupied areas.
